Again I went with the Igloo Ice Cube 60 Quart rolling cooler. I like the size and that it fits easily in the tube. The problem I had with the last design was the mids and highs were to low, defining tubers right next to the cooler. Also the sub was firing straight up away from everyone. I knew I needed to move the mids and highs up and add some kind of deflector to image the sub's bass out. Moving the speakers to the lid also gave me a little more room inside to increase the sub's air space. I took the concept from a downward firing floor subs and turned it upside down. This would give the people floating around the cooler the full range of sound I was going for. When building the sub's deflector I figured why not add a little something unique. The sub deflector is made out of clear lexan so I could add two sound activated cathode lights.

First I cut the lid to for my sub enclosure. I allowed room to frame out the lid to keep it from flexing or vibrating.

I graphed out and cut out what would be part of the new deck lid. 19"x17" The dimensions that just fit all the speaker pods and sub without hanging to far over the edge of the cooler.

I attached and assembled speaker pods with screws and liquid nails.

Test fit on cooler to center, and marked the bottom of the lid to see what room I had for the sub.
