Title: giant tube like mine
Post by: the_chickeneye on April 13, 2013, 03:43:02 PM
Here is where you can get a giant tube like I have. This will hold the 120qt coolers and can probably stretch to fit the 160

I've never used a tube, I have a big ole scanoe.
But I'm looking into using a tube when I get my cube built. Is there some way you are surfacing the bottom of the tubes so the ice chest doesn't fall through or are you just wedging it down inside the tube?

I go to a local plastics shop and buy a 4'x4' piece of smooth cutting board then cut it into a circle drill some holes and attach it with 4ft zip ties.

Ok thanks, I have an old inner tube that was pulled behind a boat on the lake. I was thinking about converting it to my cube tube. But I was pretty positive the canvas bottom wouldn't support the weight
Thanks for the idea chicken eye

The canvas bottom will support the radio, just dont drag it over rocks, when you get to rocks, pick up the radio/tube.
