Has anyone floated on the current River in MO? We are looking at changing our float destination this summer and I only know the Huzzah and Black rivers in MO. Is the current River comparable at all?

Nevermind this thread.  I foolishly posted before thinking. I have floated this river while staying in Steelville.  I just had a brain fart.

Been going to Current River nearly every year since I was a kid. Live in Nashville, TN now and still make the annual trip. (This weekend in fact)

I've been on the Black, I prefer Current for sure. We usually stay near Van Buren.

I have always stayed at Jasons Place but the last visit was highly disappointing. This year we went to River Ranch on the Elk River which reminded me of how Jasons Place used to be like.

How is the Van Buren area, never been that far south, does it have many attractions like from Akers Ferry to Pulltite? Cave, Cliff jump, etc? Ive been past Pulltite on down to Round Spring, mainly a nature trip for that part.

Past pulltight there is a spring that feeds like 50 degree water and sucks to swim in.
Also, if it's like 5:00 PM it will bring a fog over the whole river and you can't see anything.

Akers to Round spring is like 11 mi.

Akers to Pull Tight is like 6 mi..

If I remember correct, Akers to Pulltite is 10 mi and Akers to Round Spring is 20 mi

K YoH, please tell me a spot on this river where there is not a freezing spring feeding lol, It does not bother me but my gf refuses to go there anymore because it's too cold to swim and enjoy.

I was just curious how the river was south of round spring. Or south of Two Rivers, I have floated the Jacks Fork to two rivers.
