So I've creeping on here for a while now and more recently posted stuff so I thought I'd share my builds.  This is my first post so let's hope I do it right.

  • Polk PA D4000.4
  • Polk DB691 (4)
  • Monoprice Oxygen Free speaker wire
  • 4 ga. amp kit and battery cables
  • Generic version of Trojan T-105 6V batteries (2 in series)
  • Monoprice aux cord
  • 110 qt igloo cooler (if I recall correctly
  • manual circuit breaker switch

Really nothing fancy or different from most on here. I've used this for USC to River Regatta (Laughlin) to Angel games (I hate the Angels, GO DOYGERS!) to other tailgating and bbqs.  Thing weighs a TON with each battery weighing around 60-70 lbs but I get 225AHs and it lasts all weekend at the river with no problem.

The only issue I have with this is that using aux from iPhone 5S directly to amp is that I don't reach the correct output AC voltage from the amplifier terminals when I'm tuning gain with multi-meter.  On a different build I could using the PAC LD-10, however I didn't use it on this build.

Time for some build pics....

This last one I was featured on The Chive for this a while back.

So I moved a year back from SoCal to Boston.  This 2nd build is still in SoCal at a friends place.

I'm rocking my first build out here in Beantown but have upgraded it from the below pic.

I'll post about this cooler on another thread.

I would run the 225AH setup for 2 days (8 hrs/day), sometimes a couple hours on day 3, and never have a problem with juice.  I never ran down below 12V that I recall.  These batteries are a beast but weigh 60+ pounds each.

My suggestion is to get one (1) 60 lb battery that's 12V and 125AH.  https://www.vmaxtanks.com/SLR125-12Volts-125AH-Deep-Cycle-Solar-AGM-Battery_p_38.html

It depends how much weight you're willing to sacrifice.
