For our last couple seasons in Oakland decided to do it loud. As season ticket members, tailgating is our specialty.
This build: 60 qt Coleman Raiders Cooler from Costco $40 4x Rockford Fosgate 4” R14X2 $69 2x Rockford Fosgate 6x9 R169X3 $51 1x Gravity 7 band EQ $35 1x Alpine KTP-445U amp $100 1x DS18 BT-TWO Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter $35 1x Battery Tender 1.25A Battery Charger $43 1x NPP NP12-45Ah AGM battery $95 1x 20A 3 prong LED rocker SPST switch $5 1x Blue Seas Systems 4-circ terminal mount w/ cover & Neg $23 3x 1.5ft RCA cables 2 males to 2 males $12 Installation Accessories (tape, screws, ties, nuts, shrink wrap, etc) $30 AC Power Port Plug mount (to power up the charger mounted inside) $15 Running Total: $553
The set up will be 4x 4” speakers in the front running on the 2 front channels at 2 ohms. And the 2x 6x9 running at 4 ohms on the 2 rear channels. Stay tuned for the final result. My only concern is the small power wire coming from the amp to the battery.
Your inputs and comments are welcomed.

Looks like a good start. Don't forget to add pics.
As for the power wire....wire is cheap when you are only using it for a short distance. With that being said you can use a smaller wire than normal due to the short distance it is running.
Are you worries that you are using non-marine speakers to tailgate? I tailgate as well for the Texans and it rains at least once every year.

You brought up a great point I did not even think about. No these speakers are not marine certified. As for rainy days we always have pop up canopies up that we stay under so we should be able to keep it dry/out of the rain. Great point though. Here are a few pics of the cooler I'm working with and where the EQ and AMP will be.

What were the numbers on this build and what was the final sell. The radio coolers I've made were personal bought items and the price to sell would not make out.

Looks good. I'd say go with four (4) 6x9 speakers on that build. I use a 60qt Igloo with four 6x9s and a 45ah battery and it bumps at 2ohm load. I would like to reduce battery weight though (can't justify lithium price yet).
If you're looking for a bahemouth I'd do something similar to a 110qt build (like my photo icon) and put the Vibe Black Death 6x9s. Id think with that air space and those speakers, plus a legit amp, you'd blast anyone out. The only issue would be a goo battery size to handle an all day tailgate.
Great build though
